First B&W Miranda Wedding Shot

I want to thank a very talented and helpful gentleman by the name of Carlo Casana for inroducing me to one of Fred Miranda's B&W plugins. The following is my first attempt using it, just playing around to see what effects I could achieve. I'm pretty pleased with my first experiment, using a wedding shot I did back in January.

Wouldn't mind seeing a fraction more contrast to really bring out the blacks, but it's almost got a nice infra-red feel at the moment which is quite nice.

That is just beautiful! Great Shot! I would hang it up in my home or office!

Yeah, I kind of stumbled into the "infra red" look by playing with the plug in's sliders and decided that was really the effect that I felt worked. Interestingly enough, my first instinct WAS to go with higher contrast. But I couldn't get anything that I was really that happy with - so I took the opposite approach and came up with this.

Thank you Elena. Now I just have to decide if I want to print it matte or glossy; probably go matte on my inkjet.

Brrrrrr, wedding in january! Lovely feeling to this shot. I do agree that is seems a bit even. Perhaps some shadow/highlight or contrarast, or curves. . something to give more definition.. it is such a lovely image.

Hmmmm... personally I am a fan of strong contrast in b&w.. this is a bit to flat for my personal taste

Stu, this image has some great potential... and I don't think you went the right way with it, even if IR is cool. I used the image you had to play with a bit, so the quality is not the best, but I think you get the idea.

I love the sky, you need to bring it out, make it darker! There's a very timeless feel to this image, even if the pavement gives it a way a bit, it coudl have been a shot taken 100 years ago. Now here's my more gloomy interpretation of your image.

I love Cyber Pets edit, has a more emotional/dramatic look.. exactly what I look for in a b&w
