Ok so I'm in the market for a small very portable camera bag to take skiing/backcounty/hiking etc with my XTi with grip and one or two lenses (70-200 2.8 and a shorter zoom or prime) and was looking at the H-12 and H-14.
Looking on Kata's website shows that the two bags are actually quite different in size: Kata H-14 internal dimensions: 9.4" L x 6.2" W x 10.2" H and 1.5lbs. Kata H-12 internal dimensions: 6.9" L x 3.9 W x 8.3" H and 0.9lbs. I need a bag that will sometimes fit under my jacket while skiing for cold/wettness conditions. I would like to get the smaller bag as it would be more convenient, but have no idea about the size difference. Would my body/lens fit in the smaller bag (with the 70-200 attached)? Other than the dimensions, is there any other difference between the two bags? I do not need a lot of extra space outside of holding the camera/lenses because I will also have my standard backcountry pack on. There are no stores convenient to me with the bags so I need to rely on other's input. |
