Congratulations to Ian H for coming second in the Motorsport News readers pictures competition. This is the UK's best weekly motorsport news magazine and Ian's picture deserves the exposure it has received. Come on Ian, post the original.

It was a bit of a surprise winning 2nd place and of the 4 photos that I submitted to the competition I thought it was the least likely winner, anyway here's the shot

It was taken after Pat Doran won the British Rallycross Grand Prix at Croft Circuit and it was taken as the light was failing fast but I liked the sillohette effect, unfortunately Motorsport news lightened the photo quite a bit when they printed it

I was really pleased to see your name in lights and I much prefer the original.

Photo editors seem to have their own ideas on how a shot should look and you never know how things will turn out until they hit the page.
