Default Official Crumpler Bag Review Thread

Since the Bag Review Thread has died a bit and pics removed, I decided to start this thread. Also, my question for my review to be stickied has yet to be answered, Crumpler has been a bag with FAQ's. I think Jon should get a Domke thread started as well.

First, let me present, the CRUMPLERS!!!

The 7 Million Dollar Home Transformation into a laptop bag!!!:

The flap on the left is what covers the 430EX.

tada! Look at that! I use it all the time!

The Thirsty Al's (M):

Ok, so one's not there. That's the one for my mp3 which is in the Jeep. Aniwho, I use 3 batteries in the one and the other you can see holds AA's, CF cards, or since I only have one extra at the moment, monopod plate.

The 5 Million Dollar Home Review:

I used an separator from my 7MDH so the 18-50 (w/ hood) fits in nicely but is separated from w/e little thing I can put there. Right now it has my charger and tripod plate. The other one that came with it, the little flap that folds down just annoyed me. This was easier. It can hold anything small really: camera, remote, batteries, etc.

The Bundle (L):

When I carry my stuff in the 5MDH, this actually works well for 10-20 and nifty storage. I actually used it once to just carry the 10-20 with my camera and 18-50 around my neck. Didn't have a small enough bag so that's how I took it. It was fun.

Looks like the 5MDH is for me... no wonder you're trying to get rid of the Lowepro. Trying to make up for all the Crumplers!

I thought the 5MDH wouldn't be great after getting it and was about to resale it. Then I found it holds my much more preferred lens, the 70-200, and decided to keep it.

Shame... That's what I'm looking for... 7MDH is just a little too big. What's in the 7MDH? Bigma and 70-200f2.8?

I also love my 7 million
in mine i have in the middle, the 40D with grip and 24-70L 2.8 attached
right hand side i have the 70-200L 2.8 IS upright and the 580ex flash
which leaves me room for 2 more lenses on the other side. Hopefully the 17-40 will go into one of those slots shortly.
The front section i have my spare batteries and memory cards.
Zip pocket under the cover i have my camera manual, flash manual cables and filters.

I have just ordered the crumpler whickey and cox backpack

love crumpler bags as they also look damn good

I like the look of my 7 million dollar home. I am also happy that it can fit a lot of gear inside. However, the padding on the shoulder stap slides easily. Also, my shoulder really feels the weight after a short while if I fully load the bag like it was shown above.

nice review! i think you just made me upgrade my 4mdh for the 5mdh! my 4mdh has been perfect when i just want to carry light with the 30D/17-55. but there are times when i want to carry a flash or the 70-200. based on your picture with the sigma 70-200 and 20D, the 5mdh will do its job....as i still want the smallest bag possible!

I was surprised when I got it to fit like that. Another reason I stop using my grip. It just took up space and isn't really needed. Maybe on a Rebel since they are so small.

These will fit if you don't put hood on them. The reason is the 17-55IS hood is a lot wider thanthe sigma 18-50 hood.

I can barely fiit 30D+17-55IS hood reverse with 85F1.8 hood reverse on the side.
