Default How much longer does a grip last vs on-board battery?

I know it will probably depend on the batteries in the grip as well as the quality of battery used on-board, but is there a generalization about this?

For example number is shots one vs the other?

Some of us use the grip for comfort reasons, but for battery life which is better? Maybe two onboards is similar in life to a grip.
