Smile One of my favorites from a re-enactment

Hello to all. This is a shot I took at an 1812 Re-enactment. I saw her sitting there and hurried for the shot. I thought it would make an awesome portrait of a clown. I'm new to the forum life, so be easy on me! I'm trying to figure this out! LOL

Welcome to the Forums, Trish. You've captured a nice moment here. If you don't mind me saying I think it could do with a little brightening and then maybe a touch more saturation and contrast. Perhaps a bit of fill-in flash might have helped bring too.
Keep on shooting and sharing, Trish

Yeah, what Anke said.

A bit flat as it stands but a bit of tweaking in the processing, to brighten it up and add some more punch, could make this into a really nice image.

I would also crop the top slightly, to remove those blobs of white (tents?) that take the eye off the subject a little.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, there's plenty of people around here who will help you figure things out

I agree with Anke, Great photo but needs a bit of PP.

I would try to work out when taking the photo to lower yourself as the angle looks a bit high. I am sure you did that to not have that distracting background that I can just catch a glimpse of.

Nice pic. Were we battling clowns in the War of 1812? No wonder we won! U-S-A, U-S-A!

Nice capture that could definitely do with some levels boost. I'll bet it would pop nicely. Re-enactments are great opportunities.
