Did it snow there recently, what the hell? Seems a little late in the year to have snow there. But what do I know.

lol, trust me not to look beyond the obvious haha
Did a bit of research before, looks like there has been a bit of an on off relationship with flickr. DA was blocked at one point too. Just putting some of the recent ones up on my da page now. |

This lens is very impressive. Nice pics in this thread. Is there really any reason to purchase the Canon over this one? It doesn't seem like it when you compare the images.

yes, the levels of distortion are waaaay lower. I'ts also got faster focusing and more reach, if that means anything to you. Also, many people say it has better IQ, but thats for you to decide.

Hmm.....I have to disagreee about the "waaaay" lower. Look at photozone's distortion test, Sigma at 10mm beats the Canon by twice the amount, then loses out at 14mm by a significant margin, but then gets really close to Canon again at 20mm (vs Canon at 22mm). I think with the wide angles there has to be some optimization at certain focal lengths. Sigma seems to have decided to do it at 10mm, Canon at 14 and they are very close together at 20-22mm.......but I don't see either being so much better than the other to characterize one as the winner. http://www.photozone.de/Reviews/Cano...review?start=1 http://www.photozone.de/Reviews/Cano...review?start=1
