My 2nd trial of my new beauty dish. It was used as direct in line with the lens as possible as a Single light set up. Although it lacks modeling, it is shadowless, of which I normally find hard when against chairs / objects. It was placed with this in mind.
Hope you like. Canon 5D with 85mm 1.8 Lens Last edited by steveathome : 26th of May 2008 (Mon) at 09:32. Reason: Added equipment details |

Yippee a response lol.
Many thanks Muscleflex. Your are spot on about the reflection, I have since cropped that out on the original, but got lazy re-posting it here. Many thanks for the CC Edit: I see what you mean about the likeness of faces between your Son and my Grandson. Last edited by steveathome : 31st of May 2008 (Sat) at 10:00. Reason: added comment |

It is pretty sad when you get only one response on a picture this good. What is a beauty dish?

A beauty dish is basically a large (wide) reflector with a centered baffle/reflector fitted.

Very nice!
I would have removed th pillow though, the lighter color pulls the eye away from the subject.
