Default Daughters 1st day with DSLR

Emily is 14, we took her Lab Candie to the local park the let her play, Emily took my Canon 20D and a old Promaster 100-300 lens
Thas is what she came up with.

I don't have the Exif file with me but my guess is she shot this at 100mm and full auto on the camera.

Please post any coments, as she and I would love some help to make them better.

Tom

Nice shot. You have entered a larger universe, young Emily. Welcome to the community of photographers.

Beautiful photo of your lab, however, not sure about the background.

On the one hand, Ilike it, on the other I wonder if it might have been better had it been a slightly different colour to that of your dog, then move your dog a little further away so that the background all blurs into one
