Default DVD burning

Not sure where to post this, so I give it a shot here. What settings are you using to burn your photos to DVD. Both for storage and to make a slide show. I burned some photos to DVD but when I play them back on my Blueray player on a HD TV the resolution is bad. They look better on the computer monitor then the HD TV... Any help on this?
Thanks Fred
