Default PowerPoint and Video

Can anyone give me advice on how or what to use to get a PowerPoint presentation into a video. I have a few upcoming presentations that I need to video to produce instructional DVDs. Each of these presentors will be using PowerPoint as part of their presentation. I need a good way to make a video file out of the PowerPoint that I can edit into the final DVD. Any advice?

There are lots of screen capture programs out there. Some free, some paid. I don't know of any program that will convert a ppt directly but you can definitely capture the slideshow.

I use Camtasia Studio. It embeds itself into PowerPoint with no problems at all and records voice and video. You can also edit for voice overlays, do call-outs, everything you need for an interesting presentation. If you have a Mac, the I like to use Screenflow combined with Final Cut Pro.
Hope this helps.
