Default how much to charge for corporate event

I was approached to take pics of a corporate party and don't know how much to charge. This is a new area of photography for me so any info would help. I don't really have any specifics since I got the call yesterday while I was on the ferry to the statue of liberty with my daughter on our daddy/daughter day to the big apple. wow was it chilly!

I was also considering offering a cd with all the pics to each attendee with my package and bumping up my price to warrant the extra cost to the company?

what do you think? thanks in advance

Personally, I'd charge a day rate just for shooting. More for whatever you deliver & you can either build it into the rate, (Corporate guys like that), or offer separate options.

Jim-

I charge by the hour for corporate events with the images delivered on CD. Web galleries are extra and prints on site are extra.

Do a google search in your area for Event Photographers. See what their rates are and what they offer, then go from there.
