Has anyone ever tried to use the Canon EF 600mm f4L I.S. lens on the Sidekick?
I know the full Wimberly Gimbal head is recommended, and that even Wimberly themselves only recommend using the sidekick for lenses such as the EF 300mm f2.8L I.S., and at the most, the EF 500mm f4L I.S., but I was just wondering if anyone has actually ever tried using the EF 600mm f4L I.S. lens with the Wimberly Sidekick?
It would be nice if a person could, so that they wouldn't have to invest in a second tripod SPECIFICALLY to use with the full Wimberly Gimbal head, or to not have to always remove the full Wimberly head in order to use a ball head with their other lenses. It would seem to get monotonous having to change heads all the time, or to have to carry two tripods.
Does the 3lbs difference between the 500mm f4, and the 600mm f4 make THAT much of a difference?
Just curious.
