Default 5D Mark II mod

Digitaljournalist has an article about a video shooter who designed a video finder to shoot a 5D II more ergonomically than what is available now. What are your thoughts of the design?

Interesting. Although it doesn't look very sturdy. I'd prefer to have full manual controls over the video though.

Excellent adaptation of exsisting gear. I knew the video world would find ways to make this work better.

Did you happen to catch the rolling ad at screen right? Small unit that mounts under the body sporting XLR connectors...
