What is the technique for shooting from the hip?
I use a 30d and have the nifty fifty and the kit 18-55 non IS along with a sigma 70-300. I was thinking either the nifty or the kit lens would work, but I was confused with settings. normally I would check my settings thought the view finder, but when trying to be discreet and fast I was trying to work out how you go about choosing settings and aiming. I am going to a car meet and I was hoping to take candids of people while I was there, and maybe practice this technique. Any ideas or tips will be appreciated. Thanks
