So I have moved from a PC back to mac platform in the last week (15" powerbook 1.67, 2gb ram, 100gb hdd).
I am in the process of trying to setup color profiling and could use some help. I have set the default color space on the lcd to aRGB 1998, c1 is set to use the default system space, PS cs2 has been set to use aRGB 1998. Everything looks great, even while processing and post processing in PS. As soon as I convert to srgb and save for web however, it looks horrible. Much too contrasty and way too much color saturation. Am i doing something wrong here? Do I simply need to learn to process using less saturation and contrast in order to get proper output to srgb? I deal with alot of web work, as well as print magazine/catalog work etc. Getting this right is a pretty big priority for me, so any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance.
