Sweet shot of the cricket ball xblindx. I gave black a shot - still a lot to learn!

That one turned out really well. I love the reflection.

I need to get off my butt and get a glass plate for my box so I can try that.

Hey guys, have followed this thread for some time, and gained a lot of knowledge. Here's one of mine, the first is straight from the camera, the 2nd I adjusted the curves. I'm using two CF daylight bulbs on the sides, and firing my 430 EX up into the box set at +1. The piece is sitting on 1/16 glass. I would like to get more reflection on the glass. I know black results in the most reflection, but I need it on white because this will be used in a catalog and the image will be floating on the page. Any suggestions?

Also, is there anything I can do to keep the product from washing out? The curves adjustment helps, but I lose some of the detail in the shadows. Or, am I just being paranoid and you guys think it looks just fine?

I've got a ton of these to shoot and I would like to do as little PP work as possible.

Hey, Newbie trying this out, again.

Not bad for my first (real) try, huh? I know it is a little under exposed and there is a odd grey dot in the white above the owl. I fixed the WB in post processing because the photo was very warm. Any tips to make it better? Thanks. Also, can anybody see the image? Or do you just get a red X like I do? I am having some issues uploading to this site.

EDIT: this is the link to the picture.. for some reason I cant get any pictures to show..

Does the link I posted work? Maybe it is not showing because it is a TIFF file? Any help? I ask a lot of questions :p.

Heh, it is not that amazing of a picture, in fact, not even that great. I am just trying to figure out how to post my images, and get some tips on how to take better pictures out of my lightbox.

Hmm.. Thanks a lot! Now even though this is very off topic, do you mind telling me how you did that? Thanks again, and sorry for the off topic.

And now that I look at that picture again, it looks horribly under exposed. Oh well, will fix that up wth future pics.

Use jpg's for web display. Web browsers can't read TIF files.
