Landscapes, birds, air shows, auto racing... all these can use long lenses effectively. I'd say 50% of the photographers here photograph at least one of these subjects.

my dead rich uncle's estate, one lens: 50mm F/1.2 L ...by the way, I'm in no way saying that my wallet can sustain a 50mm L purchase at this time... but if I could only ever have one lens again, I'd make it work.

one lens = 50 F1.2 L
but that's just as a solution for not having a 35 and 85, which I prefer more!

Again 50L 1.2, thats why its my first and only 'L', if it dropped off a cliff I think I'd look at the 60mm E-Fs macro, not being insured or having the cash to replace it.

Single lens?
APS-C: 30/1.4 Sigma FF: 50/1.4 Sigma unlimited money just puts me more at the FF level, but I could technically afford either if I didn't have anything else in camera gear. |
