Hey people
i just recieved a cool little bit of kit today............. an angle finder with 2X magnification (it has a little switch to go from 1 to 2 times mag) i've only played with it in the house so far but can already tell that its gonna be a BIG help....... at the 2x mag it slightly crops the viewfinder tho (not the actual image, just some the camera info (the right hand side of the exposure scale and the flash/FEL indicator on the left), which isn't a real prob becasue i already know what setting i've got the camera on) it's a 3rd party job by seagull "WHO" (got it from ebay for £38 ) as compared to the canon one which costs about 4 times that..... (i figured for 38 quid its gotta be worth a try) and it comes with adapters to fit nearly every camera out there.... the build quality is good and it gives a really bright magnified view No more wet knees for me sorry for the quality of the pic but i couldn't be bothered changing from the macro lens ![]()

Looks like a cool gadget. Can it swivel around the point that it attaches to the viewfinder, or can you only view from the top of the camera?

Very cool indeed! I looked at the Canon version but was put off by the crazy price. Let us know how well it performs.

Alan, I wish you had posted this a few months back when I bought the Canon version (exorbitantly priced at £150
The Seagull version seems like a bargain. At £38 pound it's well worth having. For low angle or macro it's a godsend, believe me.

I ordered the same one from Shanghai for 46.00 plus 12 dollars shipping (eBay). I have received it yet, usually takes 10 days. Thanks for reviewing it. (I hope)
