Hey Playm,
Thanks but don't applaud me. It was in my contract. I had to be there They did have the open doors which gave some good side lighting. And they did have the lights on but it was those stupid gas lamps with the constantly changing WB. This is what slows down my PP as much as anything. We need to get a thread started sometime, maybe in sports, about lighting these. Ambient vs. flash, etc. It has to be relevant to more than just horse shows. Maybe it's been discussed? BTW, the following weekend the lighting was even worse! Even at 1/500th do you think there is motion blur in this? |

A few more from the Cutting Horse Association of Nebraska Futurity:
Again, all shot with 1DMkII and 100 F/2. This one shot at ISO 3200. Not great but usable? (He hasn't bought it yet ![]() These two were shot with a shoot through umbrella on each side of arena, each with a ganged Sunpak 622 & 611. ![]() ![]() |

My friend wanted me to take some pics of of him working cows at home (in an outdoor arena) but I'm not feeling brave enough yet to try something that HIGH action. |

Do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you get close pm me and I will give some pointers. PlayM is a good cutting horse shooter and I am sure he would help as well. I am also going to start a blog on equine sports shooting if I ever find time. I'll post when that happens. |

If I get brave I'll shoot you an IM! I played a little at a few rodeos this summer but didn't have spectacular results, but then I've learned a ton since then.
Thanks!!! |

Aw, Whippeticious, your girl looks so good! Aren't the older ones great? We've got an '85 model of an Arabian that we adore. Here is Felicia with our son and me and my hubby on either side of her. I didn't take the shot, but it is the most recent, and it was taken with a 40D, so it should count, right?

I agree.........however, my 86 model doesn't think he's an 86 model, and still thinks when I come out to ride we're gonna be chasing some cans. it breaks my heart, cause he LOVED his job. tough decision to retire him completely, but the "what if" list is just too high now.
