More... I'm taking back my initial "I can't get decent photos out of this camera". Now that I've seen them on the big screen, there are some keepers.

Exactly. Like rock climbing. Very nice pictures John. Just the type I would like to have the S90 for. I use my S3 for general vacation & all types of hiking now, but would get an "S6" (continuation of an old related line like the S90 picking up where the S80 left off) with an S90 sensor if it was made available.

Ben, The water flow in the second one is an amazing catch. The flow direction and pattern of leaves it makes gives the picture an 'ordered' feel in the middle of a purely natural shot.
I will repeat what someone else asked, What did you do to get the look in the background of the flower shot? That daisy(?) in particular has an other worldly look. I apologize top others with great pictures, I can only see a few from certain hosting sites due to web filters. |

I think ben could post in the Polaroid thread and make instant photos look good. Great stuff. I'm sure we'll find out later that all the images were actually shot with a Nikon D3

Here are a couple, just got the camera;
Shot taken of this pup waiting outside of a Bob Evan's in Painted Post NY, waiting on his master to finish eating, ISO 80 ![]() And a quicky portrait shot taken today of my wife's nephew and his girlfriend, ISO 400 ![]() and another taken while they were not aware, candid type, which does get you some nice shots sometimes ![]() A keeper camera for those times you don't want to, or possibly can't, carry the bigger gear about, G2

Was following this thread carefully before I finally plucked up the courage (and money) to buy mine. I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet but I've been taking it to work where I just had to try and take this sunset from the roof:
![]() Not bad for ISO400 I don't think. Heading on vacation next week so hoping to play a lot more.

Thanks Beth. I loved you shot with the statues. Very sharp and well exposed.
Thats the Prudential building in Holborn isn't?
