Default Breanna and Mike's Lodge Wedding

Shot this wedding back in Sept. Beautiful couple! They got married at the San Moritz Lodge in Lake Gregory, CA (near Big Bear)
She had the cutest decor and did 90% of herself. All apples and fall leaves and the combo came together beautifully. She told me that all in all, they used about 350 red apples. WOW!
CC much appreciated!

OMG #6 is a killer shot, Julie! Great use of texture for sure. (I would clone out the leaves on top though imo). And the ring shot is amazing.

The bride is simply stunning! Nice to have such good looking subjects, eh?

they are all very nice and I agree that number 6 is killer. the only thing i would do is crop the top a little tighter to get rid of the stray leaves. they draw my eye up.

Julie how do you balance flash with ambient? did you have OCF here or was it a 580 on camera?

Lana,

I didn't have time to set up OCF for this wedding, so it's all a diffused 580 EX II on camera. Most of the time, I just set the ss between 1/50 and 1/80 and F at 2.8 on my 17-55.
I actually learned so much from this thread http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...ht=party+shots
about how to balance ambient.... I just fiddle around with my settings until I find something that works for me
Hope that helps

Thanks girl, it helps a lot! I'll have some reading to do today, I guess.
