Be honest... can you picture taking one of these things out and being taken seriously? Does it even remotely look professional?

Part of me is still kind of hoping that it is a joke...

Looks aside... I have never handled one of these before, but it sure doesn't look comfortable to hold. It looks very square and awkward in it's shape. Weighing it at over 6lbs! Wow.

RED's been Vaporware for so long I nearly forgot about them.

The core of the system is definately unique looking but it's usually (in a video configuration) hidden inside a maze of attachments, LCD Monitors, Rails and larger glass. When you pare it down to just the core + an SLR lens, it definately comes out looking "fugly."

I don't think so dude...

That's pretty much how the core of it looks out on video shoots.

I can't help but think of the Moller "Skycar" anytime I see RED putting out crazy concepts that lead us to believe they are going to production.

I'm not saying the RED One isn't awesome, but this time I dunno... just soo Vaporware-ish.

Consult Pics 2 and 3 in the Gizmodo link...

Your VF can be either an external LCD or it can be an Electronic Eyepiece.

Wait, so you are saying just anyone could just design a body out of Legos and strap an L lens to it and list some crazy specs that nobody can decipher?

Funny this is, just half year ago (cannot find the thread) on NikonCafe a user said almost the exact same words about Canon White lenses.

Ohh but Nikon has (had?) white lens too. Okay, not white but "light gray."
