I've never used or seen Cybersync before so I can't comment on these.. The RF602 are well made.. I've been giving them a real good work out in some pretty tough situations and have never failed to fire my flashes.. Also,,all leads and batteries are supplied..

Yongnou make the same transmitter/receiver for the T1i as for the 1D and XXD series cameras..They are identical except for the lead connector which you can buy separately if needed.. You can also buy the receivers separately..

So if I bought this brand of wireless transmitters & receivers would I need to buy a trigger as well?

You wont be disappointed with the RF-602s. I got a set, and although have only been using them for a few days, they are really nice for the money. They are well made, and so far no miss-fires at all.

The other thing that is nice is that they double as a wireless shutter release.

I may have missed this, but does the RF-602 wireless remote system pass the E-TTL info to the flash like the Canon ST-E2 transmitter and 580EX II Master?

Or are they just a trigger response?

No they don't,,you'll have to set your flash(es) to manual and meter separately..Both systems have their advantages.. I also have a ST-E2 which is brilliant indoors but the RF602 work better outdoors and to a greater distance..

As a shutter remote it's a great touch too..

I've just got myself a set of these RF-602s. I can confirm what everyone else is saying.

They seem reliable and as well as trigerring my 580 EX II (maual mode, no ETTL with the RF-602) using the supplied cable, connected to the receiver, the RF-602 can be used to remotely fire my 5D.

Having got used to ETTL; I have to chimp to get the correct flash settings, after doing a bit of mental arithmatic to get the power approximately right (I dont own a flash meter).

As they are relatively cheap I have found them as useful addition to my kit.

I wish I had radio triggers when I had my studio in the '80s..They're so damn convenient..
