My point exactly, a battery grip will do nothing in terms of improving your photos.

i was in your boat. actually, I went from NO camera, to T1i... I just picked up my 3rd lens... with nothing to shoot. hah. good luck with this expensive, addicting hobby

wow, that does sound like me. my previous hobbies were RC cars, metal working, computer (now a job), my car (still kindof is) and countless others. Why can't I get a nice, cheep hobby?
