Kitacanon, considering that no adapter was used that is amazing!

Thanks....with the lens snug against the Canon I just focused by looming...
Can't focus at long distance unless you take the lens away from the body, and incredibly that's possible too, though only barely (can't get a flat plane easily and then there's light leak of course)....but closeup, no problem....

Soligor C/D 135/2.0 wide open, 1/800, ISO 200. Lens - $80. Smooth bokeh - priceless!

RE-POST OF Olympus 50mm/1.8 on Canon 40D.....shots taken with the 50/1.8 @ 2.8

I have no adapter for it, so I put the 50/1.8 up to the 40D and just held it there....and got these with no adapter...not bad....
Full frame and 100% crops @ F2.8....
(can easily do the closeups...by looming zoom...but can't do longer distances without separating the lens from the body a bit....)

After comments received regarding oversaturated Canon reds.....
Revisions below (reduced saturation and hue altered a bit in DPP before conversion)
...p.s. I'm red-green deficient (like many Norwegian men I've read about in "Island of of the color blind") so getting reds right out of Canon is a bit of a gambling game...but when I get feed back I can adapt a bit...
...is this better? Looking at it again, perhaps even more desaturation is in order, eh?

Shots with "CIMKO" 80-200mm/4.5.....got it with the Oly above....

Never heard of it....got it with the OLY OM10/50mm-1.8/2x converter package....
Here are some sample shots of the lens by itself, held to Canon 40D cavity without a mount, so results might be a bit better with one....Full frame and 100% crop all at 5.6 with USM set at 200/.3/0 in PS6...

(Later I'll post some with the 2x converter)

the lens

The images....a bit dreamy/soft I thought at 5.6...but not bad at all....

mebbe not the BEST, but certainly the first with my "new" SuperTak 55 f1.8. Minor tweaks to sharpness, contrast...but pretty much OOC. Converted from RAW. ISO800, f2.0, 1/80th. Wind was blowing the lantern a bit, but wow these lenses are awesome.

Thanks to dengar who I bought it from...

Great shots everyone. Can someone point me in the right direction when looking for a decent price/perf piece of MF glass? It looks like it would be fun to play around with one of these, but I have no idea which M42 mount lenses were excellent/bad/etc.

Nice! How did you go about using that lens on an EF mount?
