Default a PC with MAC OS X Snow Leopard

Not sure if I ma supposed to post this or is this the place to post it but I just had to write about this and tell my fellow PONTers how cool this is.

I've been wanting to buy a netbook for a while, to have something as my travel storage/viewer... on the other hand I wanted to try my luch hackintoshing...

Reading on the net about different configurations and all that is offered and the price of the refurb. macbooks and macAIRs... I decided to go with a netbook DELL MINI 10v and guess what it all works OUT OF THE BOX. It was so simple and easy. This is the tutorial I used: HOW TO

I did upgrade the dell from it's orriginal 1gb of ddr2 to 2gb. I paid 306 usd for teh netbook (shipping incl.) and 35 for the ram and I have my self a MacBook WIND+ - the design of the MacBook AIR. ps.

p.s.
The battery does 8hrs with the wifi running, is that great or what??

2.5, 2.8. There are other places to go for this info, POTN isn't one of those though.

The Dell Mini's have been readily hackintoshed for some time now. Many people think Dell has made them this way for the purpose of selling more for people who want to hackintosh them. I mean, they're still using the GMA950 chipset, which was used in earlier versions of the Mac Mini and MacBooks, thus the compatibility with OS X. Apple had disabled Atoms in 10.6.2 - how did you get around this? Otherwise, it appears to be a nice budget netbook hackintosh.

I did not think I violated any of the points here, I bought Mac OS X retail and I bought my netbook with win 7 pre-installed. I have full licenses and I am not distributing anything illegal. I am sorry I I got this wrong.

I did not do any additional steps other than what was suggested in this tutorial. All works out of the box. I must add that I read somewhere that the successor to the dell mini 1011 (10v), that is the 1012 is not usable?? Here is the link.

Peace.

You are violating the EULA of OSX. Unless you live in germany, you are illegally installing the software.

Simply saying that it's not a topic for POTN because of it. It's fine to say that others use it, boarderline to say to use it (add "if you live in germany" and it's perfectly legal ), but no tech support here. Dell mini 10 forums should be able to answer ANY questions about your system.

But do enjoy it, the mini 10 tends to be very stable and very fast (well, as fast as that crappy processor goes) when running linux, OSX, or W7.
