I have the 14th circled in my diary! That's tomorrow in this part of the world, so I'll have to wait another day for the sun to swing around...

Don't get your hopes up with these units. I've heard so much quality control issues with these. The only reliable eTTL/iTTL wireless triggers are still the same PW or RP. It won't be for a while until the Chinese manufacturers pick up their slack.

I wouldn't touch these ones yet. The old cactus/other versions were problematic and they were just radio triggers, how much more with these new ETTL ones? No one can really say until we see hard evidence. Even the PW's have problems. Let hope they work fine.

Just checked with PixelHK again. It's not yet released yet. The estimate is 1st week of March. Still has some firmware issue.

It should be long now... I'm sure you will be seeing them on ebay soon enough.

I was at PMA2010 and guess who had a small little booth tucked away in the corner....

PIXEL!!

They had the TR-332's available for sale at the show for $80 for set! $50 for an extra receiver. I had no more cash, plus they did not take credit card so I could not buy them. I sure I could have put them on ebay or potn and sold them.

I was able to play with them for a while. The guys that were there at the booth did not know too much about their product. I tried to use them like the PW Flex/Mini and I did not get the results I wanted, plus I did not have enough time to really test them.

Here are some pics of the brochure they had with their business card.

Probably a dumb questions but will these units work as the the ETTL receiver when using a non-ETTL flash gun. I use a 3 flash setup for my home studio, all on manual mode, my 430XE is ETTL but not the other 2 plus my wireless transmitter and receivers are not capable of ETTL.

Just wondering what this unit actually does, will it act as the actual ETTL module for the flash gun regardless of what flash you use? Will it receive the information from the camera and control the flash guns even if they're not ETTL capable?

I think I know the answer in no, but I could be wrong....

All this does is send and receive the communication between the camera and flash. It does not add capabilities to a non TTL flash. It literally is a wireless copy of a TTL cord. It does no more, and no less.

No. But if it had that capability they would sure sell a pile of them!

Just got an email from Pixel HK. Canon version has been released. I replied back asking for a price and etc. Their ebay store has not been updated yet to show the Canon version.

Nikon version price is: $208 for 1 transmitter and 1 receiver. Additional receiver is $100. Shipping is included.

I read more reviews on Nikon version. The reliability issue is holding me back. Originally I was going to buy it right away if it's $150 for 1 transmitter and 2 receivers, but the $300 price tag is a bit high. A set of new PW (2 receiver + 1 transmitter) would go for around $600.

If they only took credit card, I would have bought a bunch of them from the PMA2010 show. They were $80 for the pair and $50 for additional receiver.

$80 for the pair I would ahve RAN to an atm to pick up some of these.. huge diff ebtween 80 and 200. Hopefully this will help to drive the price down, as at 80 I'm in, at 200 I'm out. Also hopefully the TTL works well otherwise I am out regardless
