Adorama said the free ground shipping would take 4-7 days, so I was debating between getting the 3 day shipping or not. Glad I didn't because it was only 2 business days since I ordered with the free shipping!

The button is a lock/release mechanism. When the hood is on, it will not turn unless you push the button. I do like the new eggshell finish on the hood. Fingerprints and stuff don't show up as easily as all my other hoods


ohh nice, so no more need for gaffer tape to prevent it from moving around..

I received my lens yesterday, haven't had a change to test it out yet. Quick question? When I removed the lens body cap, I noticed the 2 outer electrical contacts had wear marks. Does this mean the lens was used?

:D All kidding aside damn this thing is razor sharp and I thought my MKI was good! This lense is really on par with my 135L which I sold along side the MKI to fund this baby and have no regrets at all.

Got mine today as well, I took the first shot at 1/20 and it was still razer sharp at 70mm!
