I did not really have a strong opinion one way or the other until several years ago. I had a co-worker with a very strong interest in aviation and science. When he really broke it down for me exactly how big the universe is (Think about the ending of Men In Black and the "galaxy") I realized that the odds are in favor of Earth not being the only planet out there that could host intelligent life.

I believe there is life out there, but I don't necessarily believe (or not believe) they're any closer to finding a solution to deep space travel than we are.....

I strongly believe that in the event another organism figures out space travel that it should also be intelligent enough to avoid us humans. I think if we can get a dolphin onto the forums we will get some better info.

I agree with this. We can barely get along with ourselves. So why would we except something from outside of our own home world?

In the case of something like "Mars Attacks", "War of the Worlds", or even "Independence Day", I don't see humans coming together even if we had to unite against a common enemy.

Now, for those of us who happen to be PC Gamers, if the future is anything like StarCraft, we'll be in for a world of fun.
