Well it is not confirmed by Canon nor it is a press release, I find it so funny how people like speculations. Yes it might be that you are right but lets wait and we will see the outcome. Still, 1Dc will be the ball breaker for Nikon!

Screw D800, Canon 3D will win

A bit more information
I’m told that the coming big megapixel camera is a very new sensor design/overhaul. The emphasis is in the dynamic range of the sensor. Performance is said to be on the level of medium format, even better than the impressive D800.

I hope so for all canon users. Unfortunately for many, like myself, they waited too long to concentrate on dynamic range.
