Wakeboarding Shots

Here is a few shots from a couple of sessions here is Texas.
Not a lot of PS on any of these. Just sharpening and some level adjustments. Lemme know what you think !!

I will be a little tougher on the feedback than the previous posters. I shoot this sport a lot and have made every mistake in the book... So please do not take this as being harsh but rather just my 2 cents in trying to help you for the next time you get to go out.

I'm not sure what you have done with levels in these but it looks like on 3 and 4 you have boosted the black to the point of loosing detail. Look at the Black boot and you can not see the lace detail. For 1 and 2 agian something not right as the water is blown out on the white side and does not look natural. If you get the chance to shoot this agian, at sunset shoot more into the sun if not directly. Expose for the sunset and the orange will pop with a great silhouette of the rider. 5 would be an awesome detail shot except for the person in the back ground. Not sure if you can crop him out or not.

I would also shoot and/or crop 3 and 4 much tighter. Your rider has a great intense expression and you have peak action but it is lost in the loose frame. These are not really of showing sense of place so I would go real tight to show intensity. You will still get the sense of the riders height off the water from the tree line when you crop tight.

Here are a couple of examples as a guide. First one I have posted before and is my avatar. Sunset shot, waterskier not a wakeboarder but the same principles of shooting into the sun apply. Second is a closeup of peak action. I hope this helps!
