Bill are you picking a ISO or is it on Auto.

I think for many of those shots I picked an ISO but I've since started setting the shutter and aperture and leaving ISO on auto.

Thanks Griz, that first day that I had it,, I shot over 200 shots and very few of them were even acceptable. I thought that I might have gotten a loser but I think it was all user error and it's coming along now.

Like the deer shot Bill, how far did you have it extended, perhaps 500mm? I will be practicing on deer myself here at home than going to the Dakotas next month, hope to shoot Bison at Custer and Roosevelt Park. Also hope to return to Alaska with more reach and camera than I had last time. Look forward to Alaska pics from you.

Grizz, I was less than 500 mm in that shot but I'm not sure exactly how far it was extended, maybe 300-400 would be my guess. I have some other shots from the same series where I was at 500 though.
