Default Best of British - which crop?

Okay boys n girls - which crop do you prefer and why? (and yes the scaffold TV tower in the background was annoying)

#1

or

#2

I like both for different reasons.

Depends on what your trying to do or show.
I would crop it half between the 2, so you just see the edge of the track on the right.
I dont care for the barrier on the far right.

#2. Far better composition and the car now has space to move into.

I much prefer 2, but crop out or clone out that barrier on the right.

Good observations on all fronts - I must add this was just for a bit of fun, I really like the idea of it as a shot and may look to reproduce it at some point preferably when it's not raining as it was here.

Also posted this on the EOS forum and had very similar replies so - a few of the ideas:

#1a - Straightened with armco removed

#1b - Straightened with armco and scaffold removed

#2a - crop moved to give car maximum 'drive' room - loses the whole idea with the flag though

#3a - Straightened, car moved lower to lose some of the 'dead space' below although you now lose the track for it to 'drive into'

#3b - As above without the scaffold tower

Always good to hear what other people pick up on when they look at a shot, keep em coming

#2a is the best...The space in front gives the car a sense of motion...Looks like a race is on, rather than a parked car.

2a is probably the best, but I like the flag in 1b. I guess if you had the flag and the extra room in front of the car it would end up being pretty small.

Agree; split the difference between the two shots.
