Default Adorama Offer on 7D

i called up and they are willing to sell it for 1299.00. I mentioned new and i believe they confirmed but now i see for that same price on their website they are selling a refurbished 7D.

So how sure can i be and not get a refurbished one ...

refurbished will come in a white box that says Refurbished. Retail will come in a retail box. Also, check the body itself; if the serial number on the bottom has a pinhole (like a nail starter) in it, then it's a refurb.

The refurb will also have a gold sticker on the bottom that says refurbished. I've bought a refurbed 1DMK2N and 40D from Adorama. Both are still used by me and other than the packaging couldn't tell from new.

The gold sticker isn't always there; when I got my refurbished 7D directly from Canon it didn't have a refurb sticker on it.

Does the description list a 1 year warranty from Canon or a 1 year warranty from Adorama? Adorama warrants refurbs for 1 year (better than Canon's refurb warranty) If it's a Canon 1 year warranty then it's a "new" Canon camera.

Mista,

My refurb 60D didn't have a sticker on it either... I haven't checked the serial number for a pinhole.. I took off my battery grip and sure enough... under the serial number slightly to the right... there is a little pinhole.
