My beautiful fiance` graduated today and received her doctorate. I made it a point to buy this lens beforehand so that I would have it for this occasion and am so happy I did. My first photo uploaded with this lens and I love it.

From use the Sigma 35 optics are superior and i hope that Sigma gives the Sigma 50 the same touch so i can upgrade to it.
I'm looking forward to the 50mm being updated to the Art line, I'd very much like it to have the wide open performance of the 35mm. For me though the 50mm is still by far the much better lens simply due to the focal length, I just far prefer it over 35mm. I'll pick up the Sigma 35mm eventually, but I'm far more interested in seeing an updated 50mm! For now I'll make do with the cheap 35mm f2 (if I had decided to carry on shooting weddings the Sigma 35mm would've been my next purchase).

Yes and no. I did not focus on the girl's face on the left on purpose. I wanted to focus on the girl's left eye on the right. It is nearly there, but it is still out of focus. I should get it fixed, but my sigma is a grey one...
