good for you, now the pups won't be scared of it.

I made him a little chart for his stickers that has bumble bee on it and the last square is a picture of this helmet. When he fills up his chart with stickers...he gets his helmet.

He's so stoked!
Cool job on the bribe.

He was told when he got his phone that if he didn't keep a B average at school, we would take his phone.
Report cards came in (strangely enough, we didn't get Joshua's).
I just checked online this morning, and he's got WAY lower than a B average.
He's failing a couple classes.

Geez.

This is NOT going to be fun. But totally necessary.
Good luck. Hope it is not as bad as you think it will go... he is most likely expecting it.

But now there are little orange kittens back there. I'm sure they are relatives of Pachies. (he was a stray who ran up me at the mailbox) No one in our neighborhood claimed him. I didn't think to go one neighborhood over. He was so tiny. I didn't think he could go far. Some of these cats look just like him.

I don't need another pet. Of any kind. But kittens are my soft spot.

The reason I don't call animal control is that Murky has adopted them. He won't come home. Though I do feed him sometimes when he seems like he's hungry.
MAybe see if you can get a rescue to talk to her, and help get all of her kittens spayed or neutered.

Works for us. They won't usually let us take puppies before the 10 day time is up.

The hounds are all gone too. The other rescue got them out this morning.
They know she is going to a great home.

I decided to go to the watch repair on the mall to get a couple dead watches fixed.
Bad: One of the watches is a chronograph, and will cost more than a plain watch
Good: One of the watches is self-winding, and doesn’t need batteries.
Bad: The self-winding watch runs erratically.
Good: It’s a simple fix. It probably just needs a capacitor.
Bad: A capacitor Costs $120.
Good: Sears calls to say the truck will be ready in 5 minutes
Bad: I leave the mall, go to sears, and see the truck with the hood still up. The mechanic has gone to lunch, and he’s the only guy that does batteries:
Good: Lois is there so I can leave the truck there overnight.
Bad: I notice the one watch that has the new battery in it isn’t working.
Good: I take it back to the repairman on the mall, and he uses the defibrillator on it. It works.

We decided to try a new Mexican restaurant for lunch, The Soul of Mexico. I ordered a cheese enchilada platter. Lois ordered a chicken burrito.

Bad: The burrito
Good: The cheese enchilada.
Bad: The martyrdom taking place across the table from me.
Good: After disassembling the burrito, she was able to eat the tortilla by wadding it up and dipping it in the salsa.

Good: We called in this evening, and she doesn’t have to go in tomorrow. If she makes it through one more day, she’s off for another year.

We went through all our DVDs, and found a few that we’d never opened. All of them were purchased at Best Buy, so we took them back to get a credit for something else.
Good: For once, we had no trouble getting a refund. They gave it to us on a gift card that we’ll use for something else.
Bad: Everything I want costs about $200 more than the gift card. We leave without buying anything.
Good: We leave without buying anything.
Bad: On our way out to the parking lot, we see an elderly couple with a big box on a cart, and they’re trying to get it into their car. Actually, the wife is trying to get it in the car. The husband is standing there supervising. I decide I’m going to help.
Good: I head over to where they are, but before I get there, she wrestles the big, heavy box into the back seat. I figure this is a good example for Lois.
Bad: Lois does not think this is a good example.

Good: A tenant calls. She’s on the way over with the rent.
Bad: When she arrives, she gives 30-days notice that she’s moving out.
Good: Winter is probably the best time to have a vacancy here because of the weather…
Bad: Except December, when nobody has any money and doesn’t want to move because of the holidays.

And the day isn’t over yet.
sorry about your day Chief. Hope tomorrow is better.

I have the munchies tonight especially with all of the food talk, so I am sitting here on the couch with a cat and a computer on my lap, eating dry frosted flakes...

Sounds like quite the day... It takes Sears overnight to replace a battery? I just replaced the battery in my Suzuki and it took me less than half a day and I had to repair a broken wire on one of the battery leads to boot.

Not normally. Originally, I was going to leave it there overnight because I didn't feel like waiting around. They called about a half hour after I dropped it off, and said it would be ready in 5 minutes. I was still in the general area, I decided to go pick it up. When I got there, they told me the fellow that was working on it had gone to lunch. If I had been willing to hang around another half hour, I could have had it. We just reverted to Plan A.

I've only watched it the one time, but I was laughing my ass off when I realized who the "actor" was who portrayed the sheriff trying to arrest Billy-Bob Thornton.

Tom

Your sig. strap line reminds me of a joke I heard the other week.

Two rednecks were out fishing, one said to the other "Cletus, if I went to your house while you were out huntin, and me and your lady got friendly, and she had a baby, would that make us kin?

Cletus thought for a while then replied, No Clyde, but it would make us even"
