I've been to Iceland and Alaska, but it was before I was "into" photography so I'd love to go back some day.
But, with two young kids on our budget a more realistic itinerary would be to take the circle tour around the Great Lakes, camping along the way. Lighthouses, the lakes, parks like pictured rocks - the opportunities are endless. I would also love to kayack the sea trail along the North Shore of Lake Superior from Duluth to Canada.

One way ticket (multiple stops). First to Alaska (Anchorage and visit the old one, Fairbanks, maybe up to Barrows Point for auroras), then to Japan (Tokyo, Hiroshima, Suzuka), then to New Zealand (both islands) and finally to Australia (Beerwah: gotta hit Aus Zoo, Brisbane, Sydney, Uluru, Adelaide and finally stop in Melbourne) and just stay there.

All through Europe, Africa and Antarctica. Can I purchase a camera with the change? If so, a 1D MK X + every L series glass and a really hot assistant to carry it all for me.

Hands down- Italy!
Dolomites offer tremendous alpine views with plenty of sunny days. Tuscany- Beautiful Tuscan Landscapes Italian Riveria (NW coastal part of Italy). Amazing. Capri- drop dead beautiful Almafi Coast - Doesn't get much better than that. Southern Italy- Tremendous Volcanic landscapes And Italy has a bit more to offer than Landscapes. Rome- every block offers something- but the Pantheon, the Colosseum, the Churchs, The Vatican, the art, the archetecture. Then there is Florence, did I mention Venice, oh my- hands down Italy! |

This. I've looked a dozen times at tours or cruises over there, but alas found nothing under $5,000...
I wouldn't mind returning to Iceland (my first photo trip) to try out the skills I've hopefully picked up since last time
