Default s100 1" in Av

Hi,

As i was just playin around with my new s100 I noticed that in Av mode, the shutter speed won't exceed 1". I know there are limitations to the iso (fixed at 80 when shooting past 1") but even if i set my iso at 80, it won't pick anything longer than a second.

Is this a setting? or is it just impossible for the camera to select anything longer than 1" in Av? I use Av to take tripod bound night-photos...

Canon has put that limit on Av, probably so the average user doesn't find themselves taking 15" hand-held shots. If you know you'll need long exposure times, try using Tv. IIRC, they also limit the ISO available in long exposures, to hold down noise issues.

Ok, that's clear... I'll have to work around and use Tv or M. Thanks.
