Default Benro Travel Angel and RRS QR + Plate ?

Need help with a different quick release system on my Benro TR C2681TB1 with ballhead B1 combo.
I want to use the Really Right Stuff L-bracket B7D-L für my Canon 7D.

1. Does the B7D-L fit into QR system of the B1 ballhead (QRC60)?

Actually I don't like the QRC60 all that much. While handling the ballhead I often find myself opening the QRC instead of turning the other knobs.
Also, for a perfect fit I would prefer the RRS clamp B2 LR II: 60mm.

2. Does the B2 LR II fit on the B1 ballhead?
3. How comlex is the change from the QRC60 to RRS B2 LR II? What do I have to pay special attention to?

The next questions would be for alternatives to the B1 ballhead. Something that I would like to avoid presently.

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Cheers,
Granny13

The Benro B1 is Arca compatible just like the Really Right Stuff L bracket. A little trick is to put the knob of the quick release clamp towards the front and under the lens. That way you can't confuse it for the lock knob.

If you still want a lever clamp, it shouldn't be too hard to swap. I don't have a B1, but it should have an Allen head screw that attaches the clamp to the ball stem. You just have to remove that screw and swap clamps. You should remove it and take a look at the bottom of the clamp and the top of the ball stem. I've seen some clamps where Benro (and other manufacturers) keyed them so that the clamp can't rotate.

Thanks Gordon for your tip!

I removed the Benro clamp and it seems I am out of luck. Or is there a way to fit the RRS clamp?

What ballhead alternatives with decent quality would I be able to fit on the Benro legs?

It should be able to handle the 7D with the 70-200mm f4 as my currently heaviest lens.

Markins? Would the RRS clamp fit?

It would be nice to be able to still use the Benro bag for transportation.

RRS' clamps that use the M6 screw have the groove that should allow you to fasten one to your existing ball head.

Yes that does look like the top of an Arca-Swiss B1 or Z1 ball stem. I'd email RRS and ask if their lever clamp will fit. I also think it'll work but you need to verify it with RRS.
