Going to cause me major issues at school as well.

Gimp any one Peter Ive been doing a test to see if I could move from windows to Linux. 90% easy. Photography is the big one where it lacks. Between RAW converters then into gimp issues. Lightzone is making a comeback they were given the source code so give them 6 months to get updated and working on Mac, Windows and Linux.

Linux Mint mate version is the best beats Ubuntu anyday

Its a pretty boring story, was shooting some furniture for a customer and one of their staff knocked the tripod over. 5D2, 24-70 and Phottix Odin hit the floor and all 3 got smashed.
Insurance replaced the lot, same day I made the claim (can't complain about that).
To be honest, I was very happy with the 5D2 and 24-70, it did exactly what I wanted and needed.
The 5D3 is awesome, a little bit too awesome, the AF is just to complex for how I shoot, and although the 24-70 is optically superior, I don't like the lens hood and conventional zoom design. Neither have the same engineered feel as the older models.

I do like the Adobe Creative Cloud though, I started using it last year. As a business it's fantastic, I had to capitalize CS5.5, but CC is now an operational expense, and for the whole suite is a lot cheaper.
They clearly have some work to do around a more affordable photographers package. This is just typical Adobe though, launch a product then let feedback determine how it's configured.

They are still offering volume and educational licensing, so schools and large agencies etc won't be that effected.

And that is an awesome image! Exactly what I was talking, you just need to learn to see the beauty in your own creations

Thats pretty good, how about a before & after?

In your raw file, is there any detail in those highlights?? If there was any or if is not completely blown, it wouldn't be a bad candidate for the metallic paper.

Man, your dust bunnies are worse than mine. Speaking of which, I need to get some more swabs this week.
