I couldn't get lightroom 4 to start on my machine. Loads then gives an error. Gidday . This thread is very important and will solve all your problems (or cause them).

Its a pretty boring story, was shooting some furniture for a customer and one of their staff knocked the tripod over. 5D2, 24-70 and Phottix Odin hit the floor and all 3 got smashed. Insurance replaced the lot, same day I made the claim (can't complain about that). To be honest, I was very happy with the 5D2 and 24-70, it did exactly what I wanted and needed. The 5D3 is awesome, a little bit too awesome, the AF is just to complex for how I shoot, and although the 24-70 is optically superior, I don't like the lens hood and conventional zoom design. Neither have the same engineered feel as the older models. I do like the Adobe Creative Cloud though, I started using it last year. As a business it's fantastic, I had to capitalize CS5.5, but CC is now an operational expense, and for the whole suite is a lot cheaper. They clearly have some work to do around a more affordable photographers package. This is just typical Adobe though, launch a product then let feedback determine how it's configured. Quote:
And that is an awesome image! Exactly what I was talking, you just need to learn to see the beauty in your own creations Quote:

Thats pretty good, how about a before & after? In your raw file, is there any detail in those highlights?? If there was any or if is not completely blown, it wouldn't be a bad candidate for the metallic paper. Man, your dust bunnies are worse than mine. Speaking of which, I need to get some more swabs this week. |
