Superb set of images but I have to agree with young Rick_reno - the watermark ruins every single one. Sorry

I could't deal with the attorneys That is not a portfolio. My portfolio is www.alienginphotography.com
it's a page where I transfer the images to the clients.

outstanding set of images for sure. I don't want this to deteriorate but watermark comments always make me laugh a little. The watermark is there TO ruin the image so nobody takes it. If anyone should appreciate this, its the folks here on the forum. We certainly can't expect posters to throw images around on the web with no watermark if they are to be used commercially in any way so I can't fathom why we see so many replies on this board regarding the watermark instead of the actual image.

Just curious ... why can't you post images here?

Was gonna say the same.

Some great images.

Had a look at your portfolio site too, some awesome shots but maybe too many. I reckon you could knock it back to 20 absolute killer shots and really blow people away.

You post 'small' images on the web so you don't really 'need' a watermark right across the image, unless you really are paranoid that someone might printscreen your shot to print on a 6x4. No one no matter how good a re-toucher they are will be able to lift a small web image and turn it into a usable 'commercial' shot.

Stop being so paranoid or stop hosting on line - it's simple really

Problem is not all people want to print.

I shoot motorsport and have found my pics all over the place from motorsport news websites, team websites and blogs all without payment or permission from me, all pulled from forums like this, facebook and even my website (via screen grabs) even had ones with the watermark in the corner cropped down to remove it and all these images have been websized.

I wasnt aware that people could pull "screen grabs" with their iphone from my website untill I had the president of a Triathlon club I shoot tell me it was happening all resized for web, and perfect for an iphone screen. Explains why I shot their largest Tri and didnt get a sale but had tonnes of interest/website views and edited heaps of pics for people to look at from my site.

Alot people dont really care if they can print as long as they get it for free and can use it on the web or show their mates on their phone. And honestly alot will also print these small websized images also.

Excellent photos. I see you were in my city for the triathlon; I shot it last year but it was way to hot for me to stand outdoors for hours this year.

or stick to offering crit on the image and not the watermark, equally simple.

I've seen stuff I've shot in 400x600 format all watermarked and still used without permission. One of the best ways to improve is to get constructive advice from fellow shooters in a forum such as this so not posting images is not really solid advice. A response of don't be paranoid (and for the record, its not paranoia when image theft and misuse is actually happening day in and day out) and don't host online is really nonsense. Sorry to call you out but seriously, I cannot imagine you put much thought into what you typed before hitting the Submit Reply button.

This is why I watermark. All a person has to do is hit their PRINT SCREEN button and they instantly have your image!!!
