I would have to pick my 70-200 2.8 IS, as I could slap on the extenders to expand my range up to 400@ 5.6 and the fact that the non L primes are all pretty darn sharp they could handle to job of my 24-105 or a 24-70.

35L on one body, 135L on another body and 300 f/4 L on another, assuming you mean only one L per body

and if not, maybe i'll reconsidering the 70-200 one

EF 28-300 mm L IS USM.. everything else, you can get from another brand, but not such an incredible zoom.

24-70 for backpacking or travelling, because you often don't get time/not able to foot zoom or it's not nice stick your lens in someone's face
or 135 for my current life I'm really getting to like the length of the 135 -wildlife, landscape so far
