I'm thinking on the YN 468 and YN560. Is there much of a difference as far as power goes between the two. How do these compare to a Canon 430EXii.

I haven't owned the YN468 but I would highly recommend the YN560 as it's a very capable flash. I own 2 of the YN560's and YN460-II's and am very happy with the reliability and features of the speedlights.

the YN-460 actually compares quite favorably with my 430EXII as far as power. |
