Thanks for the votes! There were definately some great posts! RaceFan was shot at Pocono Raceway in PA during the NASCAR Pocono 500. Subject (female) was the first to stand up as the cars were coming around turn #3.... I was originally going for the cars, however, I saw her stand up and took that shot instead. Not the strongest submission by far, but a fun one I thought. Camera was a 20D with the 70-200mm f/4L at 200mm, open at f/4. Thanks again for the friendly competition, and I look forward to other contests... I'll be sitting the next one out, but will be back for others. Great work from the other photogs..... I'm happy with third considering the competition..... strong submissions all around. Kudos!

I'm glad someone likes the image I submitted Thank you for the votes.

It was taken on the 16th hole during a company golf tournament. I was sitting on the green waiting for our group to finish up and I suddenly remembered the contest... Good thing I am crazy and I take my camera bag everywhere with me.

I'm a depth of field baby. I just love it. However, i really had difficulty finding something that I wanted to submit for this contest. In the end I sent #9, the wedding party.

by the way, If anyone wants another look at all the photos, they are here:

Exclamation Re: Contest #30: Results!

Thanks to everyone for the votes, I'm pretty surprised that I won considering all the awesome photos in the contest. My picture was a bit of a fluke as I didn't expect those kind of results at all when I went to take it. It was basically a rolled piece of corrugated cardboard and a lightbulb. I also took image 25 'peering in'.

Thanks for everyone who voted, and congratulations to lxmcc and the other winners!

It was funny really - I had quite a different idea for this contest: My intention was to go out to find a nice field with some growing wheat or oats or something, take a photo from straight above placing the DOF at some nice spot and then name the picture 'Deapth Of Field' Went out to find such a field and realised that all farmers have been very active lately and all fields were 'short-cut'. That's what you have from living far up north... Then I found these rolls of hay and decided to try something with them. Not as good as my first idea, but seemingly enough for a shared third place... Suppose the name of the pic drew some attention to it
