Problem with PS is that there are so many things that you can do & usually many ways to do the same type of thing in a different way. I all depends on how you "see" the shot in the 1st place, too. Which may not be even close to how I "see" it!
There's a lot of info in the "Sticky"s at the top of the Post processing and printing section.

"Contrast Control" Tutorial, (sort of)

And oddly enough, car shows aren't very good places to shoot cars!


I'd start before I took the shot in the first place & shoot RAW, then go from there.
