FYI...
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/decorah-eagles The pair has been observed since 2002. They successfully raised three eaglets in both 2009 and 2010. In 2010 the youngest eaglet was 7 days younger than the oldest and 5 days younger than the middle chick, so newly hatched at the time the older ones were beginning to move out of the nest bowl; we were concerned that it would have a hard time getting a share of the food - but the excellent parents at this nest made sure all were fed appropriately to their age and stage. eggs laid 2011: February 23, 5:35 pm , February 26, 6:47pm; March 2, evening. The cam has night vision and a zoom lens. A great set-up! Randy T

I've been watching this one. There is another pair located at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Three chicks already hatched. Amazing to see the male bring a fish back and then watch them rip it apart and ever so delicately feed those small chicks, and each other, with those huge beaks !

Its a amazing thing,Rob Anderson, the guy in charge of the raptor program here,is a really nice guy who I have met a few times as I live near the Nest.http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...icon_smile.gif
You can Easily see the nest and take pictures as is in a back yard of a resident right across the road from a Trout hatchery,I suspect the Eagles Eat very well! The Hi-Def setup is new and works better than Rob dreamed it would.. Hope everyone enjoys it its a wonder of nature.http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...on_biggrin.gif http://www.raptorresource.org/falcon_cams/ |

This is really cool! Thanks for sharing. I find myself tuning in all of the time. Eagles are a big favorite of mine to try and capture and I would love to find a way to Iowa to check out the Decorah Eagle Cam HQ!

Well for those who didn't know last weekend it was offline for hours because someone lost a pet cat with a collar so they shut the camera off as to not freak some people out,It was a good thing to do.Hope everyone gets to see it its a awesome display of nature despite someone losing a kitty cat sadly.
