Default Debate: Can viral marketing be utilized to reach a goal in photography?

Probably not. But screw it. I'm trying anyway. I've watched hundreds of people get noteriety for having zero talent. I'd like to think I at least have some. Track my progress at:

i look foward to all the comments saying "your an idiot and this idea sucks."

so you want to go viral so that you grab the attention of charlie sheen and convince him to pay you to shoot him and if he agrees to hire you then you will use that money to pay for your wedding?

It's good for one to think highly of their work, that way at least one does and one is better than ?

Flip side is that he could haul your butt into court, even if he couldn't win. You would think cool, free publicity, forgetting lawyer fee's. As he made 2 mil a show, I think he could afford to ride you into the poor house. Flipside to hopeing someone is nice, they can always turn out mean as heˇˇ

36 shows a year 5 or 6 years, 360+ mil to have fun with, can turn mean into really mean.

Pay for one GWC's wedding and you have 4,000,000 GWC's at your door.

Since he does many things without thinking it through, at least there is a commonality.

Spending most of your blog post making fun of him doesn't sound like a good start.

@Ding, no. In the offer it states that I want to photograph him and sell the photos to the media. I am asking no money from him directly, just his time and status.

@red tie, he makes fun of him self. he's in on the joke, that's what most people don't get. he's crafted this persona and turned it very much in his favor. 1 million twitter followers in a single day. 2 sold out live one man show performances. I'm in no way making desparaging remarks about it. Just regurgitating catchphrases that he loves to use in every interview.

I would not say that as the idea confirms your own theory, that stated I do have to question the heritage of a woman, who would marry a man, who in order to advance his finances attaches himself to a total loser…

I'm not so sure sheen, fits the true form of a loser. I'm not to keen on sheen and his antics but, he does what he wants when he wants and makes no excuses for it. If he fubbles up he pays the price and goes on. He pays his own way, even if I don't think he's worth 2 million a show. Point is he makes 2 million a show, 32 to 36 shows a session for 8 sessions now, over 500 million bucks..

Boozer, User I'll give ya that much and a few other choice words to go along with them.
He might skate on the edge of but, still not all the way to loser yet.

His persona is why people watch that show as he is in real life as he is on the show.
Maybe even a bit worse in real life.

How that show made that many sessions I'll never know, only knew how many because I looked it up.
I maybe watched 4 or 5 shows the first session, just enough to know watching paint dry was more entertaining.

it's tongue in cheek. instead of questioning my fiance's heritage, question where to find a sense of humor.

You stepped hip deep into the world of using Buzz words and miles away from classy with this sheen, scheme.
- don't hate the player dude, hate the game. Your game.

GWC < Buzz Word? not even close but, fitting in that you are a Guy With Camera.

You have what to offer sheen? Publicity- na. When he farts, it's in print before the air clears. There's someone every where he turns, pestering him with a camera, what makes you think your idea is better than multi million dollar tabloids?

In the last two weeks ( I lost count at 20 tabloids, because I just don't care ) sheen has been on covers around the globe.

There are news companies, magazines, * tabloids, authors, ...... All willing to pay him for a chance of printing a interview with him, because they know it would skyrocket there sales, past their ability to count. They offer him big bucks ( not that he needs it ) dividends from his investments, rerun royalties and bank accounts will keep him in all the fuzzy world he wants to live in, till he boards his spaceship and returns to his home world.

If anyone was going to make money from his mug, whom do you think it would be?
