I have an Orion 20-60x 78mm spotting scope - For my 35mm film camera used adapter to replace eye piece and connected to camera via t-mount. Worked well.
Just bought Canon S2IS with lensmate 52mm adapter, then got t-mount to 52mm step up ring. Connection to S2 seemed to work fine. However was unable to get good pictures - 1st - unless I went to 8x or higher zoom on S2 - significant vigneting(spelling?). If less zoom used then photo looked like taken through tube -I could zoom in/crop photo and get decent image but not what I really wanted 2- This was worked in 50-100 foot range. But attempting to focus on object 200 feet or more was unable to get image into focus. Focus ring on scope went to max and could not get it sharper with any focus control on S2 Will the S2 work for Digiscoping? Any secret to connecting to scope? Thanks |

Wait, all that time and all I get is "Cream of the Damn Crop" ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like the S2 lens itself is unable to focus close enough ??
But I'm out of my league here.. I just stopped in to post links to adapters.. but you allready that.. |
