sunsets is one of my favorites subjects as well. i'll share what i can and hope you'll think i'm at least up to par.

Great thread, felt i had to post a picture, while not up to the standards of previous posters, this is the best of what i have at the moment. ( lacks a focal point but i liked the clouds )

Very nice thread and a lot of nice pictures.

Should I consider the shots I prefer, Neil_r's first two shots clearly make the list, tiziano's first shot, sparker1's second and third, kennyc's shot and dharris's shot. However, if I were forced to choose the one I really prefer, I would take sparker1's third shot from Coos Bay. In my opinion, it is absolutely, stunnigly beautiful, with perfect colors and interesting foreground. Quite simply, a perfect shot. Even more so, when I consider that according to signature, it has been taken with rather modest equipment, Digital Rebel etc.

And ofcourse, this opinion is not to underestimate other shots in this thread. Absolutely not. There are a lot of beautiful shots here. However, with sparker1's shot, there is just something that I like. Simple as that.


Canon EOS 40D and 50D, some lenses with curious red stripes and other gadgets. Previously a very satisfied owner of 20D.
